Date: Sunday, January 25

The Waco Brothers have been playing music together for more than three decades. You may have seen The Waco Brothers in any number of formats, with different people filling in, with surprise guests, solo, in other bands, but have you ever seen them play an acoustic show? I haven’t, so I’m really looking forward to seeing them play an acoustic set. Described by Rolling Stone as The Clash meets Johnny Cash, IYKYK (if you know, you KNOW) how much fun a Waco Brothers performance can be. This show will have many of the Waco’s classics you’ve come to love and pump your fist to, such as Plenty Tough and Union Made, but it will be an acoustic set and will include some songs the band doesn’t typically play.

Please note that the band is playing TWO shows: an afternoon show – doors at 3:00 pm, music starts at 4:00 pm (sold out) and an evening show – doors at 6:00 pm, music starts at 7:00 pm (seats still available). Jean Cook (fiddle) will only perform at the afternoon show, as she has a flight home to catch. We’ll provide food before the show, and as always, it’s BYOB with free soft drinks provided.

“The Waco Brothers’ songs pack an explosive combination of punk and honky-tonk that’s best experienced at the group’s live shows.” – WXPN, Philadelphia NPR station, which went on to describe The Waco Brothers’ performances as “driven by spontaneous energy that helps annihilate the barrier between performer and observer.”
