Date: Saturday, October 4
Songbirds is a songwriters’ circle featuring three artists – Lisa Sanders, Randi Driscoll & Ashley E. Norton – coming into their own. Their performance will be a Nashville-style round with harmony, camaraderie and hilarious banter. Between California & Nashville, this trio has appeared together at the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Phoenix, Humphrey’s Backstage Live (San Diego), the Mary D. Hatcher Theatre (Sedona), featured performances at APAP (NYC) and more. Speaking of “more,” Karen “Brown Sugar” Hayes and Noah Heldman are joining the Songbirds on this tour.
The Songbirds are solo performers as well who play festivals and venues across the country: Lisa Sanders is scheduled to appear on the next Cayamo cruise and she’s a member of Black Opry Review. Lisa collaborates regularly with Steve Poltz and sings with Karen “Brown Sugar” Hayes’ electrifying harmonies.
Ashley E. Norton is the fearless leader of Americana all-female Americana band, Lady Psychiatrist’s Booth, and an Americana Europe charting solo artist. With a critically acclaimed new album out, Ashley is the ultimate champion for women in independent music.
Randi Driscoll is an award-winning singer/songwriter and actress. Randi’s original music is a blend of piano-driven singer/songwriter music with elements of pop, country and jazz. Her music has been featured in film, television, and a commercial directed by Spike Lee, in which Randi also appeared.
