Date: Saturday, January 27
Ramblin’ Deano – Dean Schlabowske’s music career spans 30+ years, most notably as a co-founder, songwriter, singer, and guitarist for the Waco Brothers. Formed in 1994, the Waco’s “Cash Meets Clash” style has become something of an alt-country touchstone. Dean is also involved in many side and solo projects, the most recent being an eponymous record with Jo Walston of Austin’s Meat Purveyors, Deano & Jo. Honky tonk, bluegrass, rock, protest songs, country – get it all in one Ramblin’ Deano concert. He’ll be playing powerful acoustic versions of several Waco Brothers songs, plus Ramblin’ Deano and Deano & Jo songs, such as Come On Down, Red Brick Wall, (Theme From) Space Force, Not Working, Hater Generator, The Racist Barber and more.
