Luke Bulla has been singing and playing music most of his life. Touring with and singing in his family band from age four, Luke took up the fiddle at seven. In the spring of 1999, Luke moved to Nashville to establish himself as a full time musician. He spent his early years in Tennessee playing fiddle in Ricky Skaggs’ band, Kentucky Thunder, which earned him his first Grammy Award. Luke has performed and/or recorded with a veritable “who’s who” of country and Americana artists, including Brandi Carlile, Jim Lauderdale, Alison Krauss, Shawn Colvin, Chris Thile, Patty Griffin, Rodney Crowell and Earl Scruggs. Luke joined Lyle Lovett’s Large Band in 2009, and he now tours full time in all of Lyle’s configurations. Currently Luke is happy to be touring again and is working on a new EP.
