Per WXRT, Gerald Dowd is the hardest working drummer in Chicago. Those of us who have attended The American Music Festival know this to be true, as it’s not unusual to see Gerald backing five different bands in one day. This lunatic has also drummed for more than a dozen hours – straight! – to raise funds for food banks. AND he plays guitar and tours with Robbie Fulks when not playing his own music, which is great stuff. In his set at Molly’s House Concerts, he’ll likely be playing several cuts from his excellent latest record, Father’s Day. Songs including Tulsa, Safe and Sound and Good Bad One have become favorites here.
