Date: Saturday, February 21

Alice Wallace does not hide behind the microphone, but uses it to amplify everything inside her clamoring to get out. She’s survived the highs and lows of life, love, and the music industry and these deeply personal experiences and reflections are in Alice’s confessional songwriting style. Plus, she can yodel – that bumpy hayride country-style yodeling that will amaze you and put a smile on your face (it does for me!).  I recently saw Alice perform at Space, and was happily reminded of what a strong, clear, beautiful and emotive voice she has.

Alice Wallace is one of the greatest singers of this generation hands down, and perhaps one of the greatest yodelers ever.
Saving Country Music

Alice Wallace tells her story against well-played contemporary country music. Writing her songs, Wallace avoids the Nashville quagmire of songwriters churning out cute lyrics salvaged from every blues double-entendre and Tin Pan Alley source. Her lyrics are honest. Joy, pain, confusion, and clarity, all are represented.
– C. Michael Bailey, Wild Mercury Rhythm

Imposter is a song Alice wrote about the “imposter syndrome,” which many of us have suffered from at one time or another – where others see you as successful, yet you somehow feel like a fraud and worry that you’ll be found out. Of course, she’s not a fraud, as you’ll hear in her soaring vocals from Bonfire. RSVP for Alice Wallace on Saturday, February 21.
