Dana Cooper is a poet, storyteller and songwriter from Nashville. His mixture of flat-picking, finger picking, and percussive strumming is “Legend Among Other Guitarists.” His harmonica playing equally impressive. As one critic noted, “he sings like an angel and plays like the devil.” His latest CD “The Ghost of Tucumcari,” includes guests Lyle Lovett, Hayes Carll, Susan Gibson, Mando Saenz, Darden Smith, Shake Russell, Libby Koch and more. The Album charted # 7 on the Folk Chart and #9 on Alt Country. Dana Cooper has had a vast career, starting with his first self-titled release on Elektra Records. His studio band consists of legendary players Leland Sklar & Russ Kunkel. Dana is known for insightful storytelling & songwriting, as well as his impressive guitar and harmonica playing. Here’s his song Bend My Knee (is anyone compiling a playlist of all these wonderful protest songs?). Also, listen to the truly haunting Ghost of Tucumcari. RSVP  for Dana Cooper.
